I've been
a freelance writer for many years now and I
earn good money from my writing career. Now I'd

discovered to
make money writing... and I mean to really earn a good living as a writer!
Let me tell you my story.
At first,
it took me years to build my writing business.
Like many writers I was still working in a
full-time job when I started. And it was hard
work finding the time to do what I loved most...
to write!
Sometimes it seemed like I was
taking two
steps forward then three steps back, and sometimes I
guess I was
doing exactly that! But I persevered and
eventually my writing business grew.
Then, several years ago, I took a big plunge...
I quit my day job! And that's when the hard work really
began. I wasn't making as much money as I had
hoped from my writing and as a consequence I was
quickly using up my
savings! I needed more income, and I really needed
it quickly!
I
knew that I had to change something, because the
type of writing I was doing simply wasn't paying
enough. So I
explored many different ways to make
money writing. I
tried almost everything. Writing articles. Writing web site content. Writing
e-books. I even tried writing confession letters to some popular magazines.

I knew that I had
to diversify
if I wanted to increase
my income from writing! |
And it worked. I discovered new ways to write
that paid more money, and in some cases required
much less work. And unlike writing for magazines
I didn't have to wait six months for the article
to be published before I got paid. I received
checks within weeks, and some wire transfers
came in even faster!
Some of the ways to write that I discovered even
pay residual income - that means I write
something once and then I keep getting paid over
and over again for it!
Last year I actually
made more than I earned at my old
job - and I was a senior manager in the firm.
And
here's the best part of it all...
I don't miss the commute to an office.
I don't miss
wearing a suit. And I definitely don't miss the old boss!
I play
the music I like while I work.
And if
the day is really beautiful I sometimes enjoy an hour or two at the beach.
If I made this writing business work, then so
can you! But don't make the
mistake of thinking that it's going to be easy
or a piece of cake! It takes hard
work to build a writing business, especially for the
first couple of years.
So let me
ask you a question...

enough money from your writing to enjoy a
lifestyle that you only dream about now?

It will take hard work. It will take
perseverance.
