For many businesses, search engine optimization is a confusing subject. To get the most out of it, you need to define the role of the person or business handling the seo.
Speaking as someone who provides search engine optimization services, I can tell you there is a lot of confusion regarding the role of a seo professional. Much of this results from the acronyms and phrases used in the field. Businesses will pick them up and throw them around without really knowing what they mean. One of the key skills you must develop when undertaking Search Engine Optimisation is the ability to identify and choose keywords that your clients are going to use, or I should say, most likely going to use to visit your website or to search for in a search engine.
There are lots of great tools out there that will help you find the right keywords but are warned always test the results you get because there are anomalies in some of these tools that can cost you time and money. What’s the first thing you do, when building a campaign? Choose your keywords. Those keywords are then split into adgroups. How do you choose your adgroups?
There are two ways to split adgroups . The first is thinking about “What are the terms that people who want to reach your page are searching for?” (We’ll leave the second way for another article).
